We are glad you stopped by to check us out. There are a few things we would like you to know before you proceed. First, we are blessed that you stopped by to view and to seek more information. We are a church of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. This means that we follow the teachings of the leader of the Reformation in 1517, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther. If you want to know more about Martin Luther we would love to talk to you about him.
We also hold onto one very basic component in our faith. Jesus Christ is the Son of God. God’s word was made flesh through the birth of Jesus Christ (Jesus of Nazareth). Through Jesus, God taught us about the gifts of Love, Grace, and Mercy. We listen to the words of Jesus in that we are to try to live our lives in ways that are pleasing to God. We also recognize that we are human and fall short of God’s glory. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ we are assured of the gift of new life in Christ.
Finally, we invite and welcome all to pay us a visit. We celebrate communion every week and you do not have to be a Lutheran to receive communion. God invites all who wish to receive forgiveness in the form of the body and blood of Jesus through bread and wine. We hope that you find what you are seeking here at Christus Victor. Peace and Blessings.
